Joan's Story
Joan was a fighter long before her diagnosis. A single mother who raised [him/her/them] with grit, humor, and unwavering love, she faced every challenge life put in front of her the same way — head-on, and without complaint. When cancer entered the picture, she fought that too, with the same strength that defined everything she did.
This run is my way of carrying her forward. Every training mile, every donation, every step across the finish line in London is dedicated to her memory — and to helping make sure fewer families have to say goodbye the way ours did.
